Ruben Van Kempen (BFA '76) takes final bow as director of Roosevelt High drama program

The eight–performance run of Mary Poppins at Roosevelt High, starting May 21, marks the end of a storied career for esteemed arts educator Ruben Van Kempen (BFA '76). Ruben has spent over three decades as the director of the drama program at Seattle's Roosevelt High School—the only full-time theater program in the Seattle School District.

Ruben was recently feted by former students and their parents, as well as colleagues and friends. Read the article in The Seattle Times.
