"no.place."  a play about one man's search to find home

no.place.   by andre g brown

"He didn’t look homeless, just homely.  He stood about six foot, three inches tall but staring at the floor.  We sat in an office side by side as I tried to explain why I’d like to interview him.  I told him I wanted to research the stories of the homeless and that I was going to write an ethnodrama.  That didn’t go well. I tripped over my words.  Then I told him, I want a write a play on homelessness. I want to know how you became homeless. He began to speak and two and a half hours later – I couldn’t get him to stop talking.  It wasn’t too soon after reviewing Francis’ interview that I realized this play would be more of an ethno-drama.
