Sunam Ellis graduated from the University of Washington’s Professional Actor Training Program in 2015. Since then, she has worked continuously in the Seattle theater community, with productions and readings for ACT, Book-It, Seattle Shakespeare, Seattle Public Theatre, Sound Theatre, Seattle Rep, Theatre22, The Horse in Motion, and Freehold’s Engaged Theatre Tour. Favorite local roles include Marie in The Wellesley GirlEleanor in Bring Down the HouseYulie/Nancy Beal in The Brothers K, Margery in Hand to God, and Bala in Sheathed.

In addition to her stage work, Sunam coaches and teaches budding actors of all ages. She works with several Seattle groups – both academic and non-academic – to help performers to feel more confident through vocal coaching, scene study, and acting technique.
