Directing student Malika Oyetimein is featured on BroadwayBlack.com, speaking about her work as an "artivist," using art as an activist strategy. Her two upcoming directing projects, Robert O'Hara's Bootycandy at the Intiman Summer Festival and Kia Corthron's Force Continuum, part of the UW Drama season, are both in-line with Malika's commitment "to expand the mindset of not only theater audiences, but society as a whole."
