Welcome to the theatre at UW! Here is important information to know before your event.

Are you attending a UW Drama show at the Meany Studio, Jones Playhouse, or Hughes Penthouse? We encourage you to arrive 30 to 45 minutes early in order to find parking and walk to the theatre.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING INFORMATION

tHE fLOYD AND dELORES jONES PLAYHOUSE THEATRE IS LOCATED ON The CORNER OF nE 41ST STREET AND uNIVERSITY wAY NE. 

Driving Directions (to the Central Plaza Garage, two blocks east of the theatre):  

From I-5: Take the NE 45th Street exit. Proceed East on NE 45th Street. Turn right at the 15th Ave NE and proceed South. Turn left at NE 41st Street, into the Central Plaza Garage (CPG). The Central Plaza Garage address is 4100 15th Ave NE, Seattle WA 98105. 

From SR 520: Take the Montlake Blvd E exit. Proceed North on Montlake Blvd E. Turn left at NE Pacific St and proceed West. Turn right at 15th Ave NE and proceed North. Turn right at NE 41st Street, into the Central Plaza Garage (CPG). The Central Plaza Garage address is 4100 15th Ave NE, Seattle WA 98105. 

Parking Directions: 

The closest UW Parking is in the Central Plaza Garage, located at NE 41st Street and 15th Ave NE. Street parking is also available near the Meany Studio Theatre. 

• The Central Plaza Garage will cost $14 on levels C2, C3, and C4 via Pay-by-Phone using location #123211 (Pay-by-Phone signage will reflect that number as well). Parking is free on Saturday afternoon and evening and all-day Sunday.
• There are also several surface lots and on-street parking within walking distance. 

Before you leave for the performance, download the Pay-by-Phone app. If you are planning on parking in the Central Plaza Garage, you will need this app to pay for parking. We recommend downloading the app before, as reception in the garage is poor. If you prefer, you may also pay on the Pay-by-Phone website. Learn more and download the app.

Directions for Public transportation

UW is a transit hub with multiple bus lines; check metro.kingcounty.gov for routes and schedules. The U District Link Light Rail station (line 1, stop 47) is located at NE 43rd Street and Brooklyn Ave NE. The Jone Theatre is a 5–10-minute walk (2 blocks) south from the 43rd and Brooklyn Avenue station entrance. 

AT THE THEATRE

• The lobby and box office opens 1 hour prior to show time; auditorium opens approximately 30 minutes prior to show time.
• Will Call options will be limited.
• Food and beverage service will not be available.
• Seating is general admission.
• Late seating is not guaranteed.

The box office at the Glenn Hughes Penthouse, the Jones Playhouse, and the Meany Studio Theatre opens one hour prior to the show.
