‘Celebrating UW School of Drama Alum: J Jha Success in 'Mahābhārata'

We're pleased to highlight the recent success of Drama Alumn"J" Jha, (PATP, 2014). Jha has been garnering attention for their standout performance in the Oakland Theater Project’s production of "Mahābhārata."

Under the direction of Michael Socrates Moran, Jha's solo act showcased their dynamic talent, bringing a fresh perspective to the Bay Area's artistic scene. Adapted by Burlingame playwright Geetha Reddy, the production highlighted Jha's versatility and stage presence.

Jha's performance, marked by thoughtful choices and skilled character transformations, resonated with the audience. While the play has concluded, its impact lingers, encouraging reflection on the enduring influence of narratives.
