Celebrating the incredible contributions of UW Drama faculty and alumni at the prestigious Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 90th Anniversary Season.

In 1935, Angus Bowmer founded the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) with the mission of bringing transformative, world-class theatre to Southern Oregon. In 2025, OSF celebrates 90 remarkable years with a landmark “Homecoming” season featuring nine exceptional shows, including Shakespearean works, reimagined classics, a play from August Wilson’s canon, and the revival of the hit 2014 production of Into the Woods.

To name a few, among the artists contributing to this milestone season are several UW Drama faculty and alumni:

  • Tim Bond (UW MFA Directing), Artistic Director of OSF, will also direct Jitney.
  • Desdemona Chiang (UW MFA Directing) will direct The Importance of Being Earnest.
  • An-lin Dauber (UW Faculty) will design costumes for As You Like It.
  • Geoff Korf (UW Faculty) will design lighting for Julius Caesar.
  • Amy Kim Waschke (UW BA Alum ’97, UW PATP Alum ’04) will perform in The Merry Wives of Windsor.

This is just a glimpse of the UW Drama-affiliated artists involved in OSF’s 90th anniversary season. We’re excited to see their contributions to this historic celebration of adventure, redemption, and the human condition.
