A Night of Talent and Community

On May 12, the Hutchinson Hall Design Studio was buzzing with creativity and conversation as our MFA 3rd-year and 1st-year design students shared their portfolio work with members of the Seattle theater community. This informal portfolio share offered students the opportunity to present their designs, receive valuable feedback, and connect with local professionals before heading to the National Design Portfolio Review (NDPR) in New York and Design Showcase West (DSW) in Los Angeles next month.

It was a joyful evening full of curiosity, encouragement, and celebration. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our students—we are so proud of their artistry, professionalism, and generosity of spirit.

Participating students included:

  • Nour Afifi, MFA in Costume Design, First Year

  • Duma Du, MFA in Scenic Design, Third Year (Graduated Winter 2025)

  • Eunice Han, MFA in Scenic Design, First Year

  • Marley Keith, MFA in Lighting Design, First Year

  • Porter Lance, MFA in Scenic Design, First Year

  • Antonio Torrez, MFA in Costume Design, Third Year (Graduating Spring 2025)

  • Evie Hawkins, MFA in Costume Design, First Year
