On February 8th, a group of UW Drama students traveled to Vancouver, BC, to attend the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, a premier mid-winter event that brings together bold, contemporary works of live performance from around the globe.

Accompanied by Jeff Larson (Manager of Production) and Chi-wang Yang (Assistant Professor, Acting), the students had the opportunity to experience a wide range of innovative and interdisciplinary performances that expand the boundaries of traditional theatre.

The PuSh Festival, founded in 2003, is known for its adventurous programming and deep engagement with artists and audiences alike. It takes place on the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ First Nations, and is committed to building reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities.

Students on the trip included:
Evie Hawkins, Ren Langer, Porter Lance, Marley Keith, Duma Du, Eunice Han, and Sebastián Bravo Montenegro.

Special thanks to Chi-wang and Jeff for guiding this enriching experience that connected students with the global performance community.
