Awards Abound During Graduation Season!

Spring quarter is not just for graduation; it is also time for awards and celebration of accomplishments. The School of Drama is proud to announce several of their graduate students receiving awards. These awards will support students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. 

Sebastián Bravo Montenegro (MFA, directing) has earned the Howard P. Dallas Endowed Fellowship. This fellowship can be used for tuition, fees, travel, or other educational needs.  

Ren Langer (MFA, directing) will receive the Graduate School Chester Fritz International Research and Study Fellowship in the 2026-2027 academic year. During the year, Ren will have the opportunity to travel to France to attend the École Philippe Gaulier in Étampes. During her time in France, Ren will be taking clowning and physical theatre courses that she will integrate into her theatre devising process. Ren has also been awarded the Antoinette Willis Scholarship from the College of Arts and Sciences. 

Yeonshin Kim (MFA 2026, acting) has been awarded the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's medal for graduate students for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is one of the highest honors in the College of Arts & Sciences. 

Rachael Herren (PhD candidate, Theatre History and Performance Studies) has been presented with the Excellence in Teaching Award and the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentorship Award. You can read more about her accomplishments here
