Biography
Taylor Mackenzie Adams likes to sing. That journey began in choral spaces, and continues there still. Recently, she was a vocal fellow and supplemental member with the Grant Park Music Festival Chorus in Chicago. She sings in the Detroit-housed Sphinx Organization's vocal ensemble, EXIGENCE, which highlights Black and LatinX artists, and served as education manager for Hear Us, Hear Them Ensemble, an ensemble dedicated to diversifying the choral canon. She's a founder of Technicolor Stew, a new vocal ensemble built on professional diversity. Taylor has broad recital experience as well, and is especially a lover of American song, with extensive experience singing Black American song and spiritual. Taylor also really likes schools and the people who make them run, leading her to work as an administrative assistant for the University of Michigan School of Public Health and now, an administrative assistant for UW Drama! She likes other stuff too; board games, fantasy books, and london fogs.
