Drama 490C: Screen Acting
This course is designed to introduce students to the craft of screen acting, focusing
on both the technical and emotional elements that differentiate it from stage acting.
Through a mix of film analysis, practical scene work, and technical skill-building,
students will learn how to deliver truthful, compelling performances for the camera.
The course covers key acting principles, such as imagination, breath, listening, and
identifying authentic moments on screen. By the end, students will have hands-on
experience in front of the camera, working with partners, and completing a final
filmed scene.
