Mellon Creative Fellow Daniel Alexander Jones hosts a conversation with performer/creator Kaneza Schaal, whose show JACK & runs May 10 – 13 at On the Boards. Schaal is a NYC-based artist who builds works through collaboration. JACK & is a comedy of errors structured on social codes and trainings, from prison re-entry programs to debutante balls.

Daniel Alexander Jones is a New York City-based writer, teacher, and performer, and is an inaugural Mellon Foundation Creative Research Fellow at the University of Washington for 2017–2019, where his explores the concept of Afromysticism.

Kaneza Schaal is a New York City-based theater artist has performed with Elevator Repair Service and The Wooster Group. Schaal received a 2017 MAP Fund award, 2016 Creative Capital Award, and is the current Aetna New Voices Fellow at Hartford Stage.
