Set in near-future America, an ordinary family moves into a new home and navigates extraordinary technological advances, space travel, talking animals, and the possibility of immortality. As the world keeps changing and the possibility of immortality becomes real, the family is faced with profound questions about material wealth, the natural world, morality, and the bond between parents and children. As time goes, the family is left to grapple with life’s meaning when death is no longer inevitable.
