Libby King
DIRECTOR

Libby King is a new faculty member at the UW School of Drama teaching acting, directing, and devising. Libby is a queer actor, writer, and mom who has been working professionally in New York and abroad for almost 20 years. She has been a member of the acclaimed theatre company the TEAM (helmed by Tony award winner Rachel Chavkin) since 2006. With The TEAM, Libby has helped author and perform in four award winning published works: Particularly in the Heartland, Architecting, Mission Drift, and Roosevelvis. She is currently creating a role in the TEAM’s upcoming show RECONSTRUCTION (Still Working but the Devil Might be Inside). Libby was set to have a busy Spring/Summer ’20 performing in back to back New York premieres – The Antelope Party by Eric John Meyer and Preparedness by Hillary Miller - both were put on hold due to the pandemic. Libby has worked in a lot of special places and spaces the Public Theatre, BAM, PS 122, The Bushwick Starr, The Vineyard, Classic Stage Company, Judson Church, St. Marks Church, Royal Court, National Theatre, Almeida, Barbican, Traverse, Royal Lyceum, ART, ACT, the Walker, OTB, Lisbon, Coimbra, Salzburg, Glasgow, Toronto, Calgary, Edinburgh, Dublin, Galway, Baton Rouge, Ann Arbor, Philly, Nashville…some special ones to note: Men on Boats (dir. Libby played division 1 soccer at Clemson University where she received a degree in History and received her MFA from Louisiana State University. She comes from Nebraska.
Annie (Da-hye) Bang (she/her)
SCENOGRAPHER
Hometown: Seoul, Korea
Annie is a second-year MFA set design student at UW. Her areas of interests are set design and three-dimensional art, including installation art and sculpture. She was a set designer and prop master for Ratskin, and assistant set designer for the UW Undergraduate Theatre Society's The Goat, or Who is Sylvia, The Language Archive, and Spring Awakening.
Joellen Sweeney (she/her)

Joellen is a second-year in the UW Professional Actor Training Program, and is grateful to have spent the last few weeks exploring and creating with the talented ensemble of So Far So Good. Most recently seen as April Morrison in The Best of Everything (UW Drama), other acting credits include Charlotte Corday in The Revolutionists (Artists Repertory Theatre), Sonya in Uncle Vanya (Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble) and Ludovica in The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Shaking The Tree). Joellen is also a co-founder of Bedrock Theatre, a company that produces original adaptations of myths and legends along hiking trails. www.joellensweeney.com
Andrew Coopman (he/him, they/them)

Andrew is a Seattle-based director, choreographer, and teaching artist who is just starting his third and final year at the University of Washington School of Drama where is he pursuing an MFA in directing. After touring with Missoula Children’s Theater for three years, they left the road and got an MA in educational theater from New York University - Steinhardt. As a director, some of their most recent highlight credits include: FROZEN: A Play, Body Awareness (UW), Disney’s Beauty & The Beast (EDP), Little Women the Musical (SMT), James & The Giant Peach (Village), Into the Woods, Mary Zimmerman’s The Odyssey (Studio East), and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (KFT). As a choreographer, Andrew’s work was most recently seen in In the Heights (Village), Once Upon a Mattress (SFFT), and Seussical (Studio East). Up next: Andrew will direct the Seattle Premier of Henrik Ibsen’s Rosmersholm as his thesis with the University of Washington School of Drama. www.andrewcoopman.com
Emily Smith (she/her)

Emily Smith is a senior undergraduate majoring in drama. She is the current Production Manager of the Undergraduate Theater Society and a stage manager within the School of Drama. Recently, Emily has completed internships in production management with Synetic Theatre in Crystal City, VA and Village Theatre KIDSTAGE in Everett, WA. Nick is a second-year graduate actor in the Professional Actor Training Program here at the University of Washington. He was last seen in The Best of Everything at the Jones Playhouse. Asialani is an MFA actor in her last year of the Professional Actor Training Program. Her favorite previous credits outside of school include Queen Margaret in Henry VI Part 2 with Commonwealth Shakespeare, Emilia in Othello Et Al with Damascena Performing Ensemble, Viola and Twelfth Night, and Medea 1 in Medea/Medea for Medea at Ramapo College.
