An exciting new role for Haley Thomas!
You may have seen Haley Thomas around Hutchinson Hall and the Jones Playhouse. In the past year, Haley has been interim Administrative Assistant, the 2021-2022 House Manager for plays at the Jones Playhouse and tackled various other tasks that have kept the school running smoothly. Now, the School of Drama is excited to welcome Haley to her new role of Program Coordinator for Production and Facilities. In this role, Haley will be the building manager for Hutchinson Hall, as well as the Assistant Production Manager. As the Assistant Production Manager, Haley will be the main point of contact for undergraduates and the shows that are not shop supported.
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Haley graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC with a BA in musical theatre and minors in arts management and dance. In addition to her job here, Haley is on the board of the Dacha Theatre where she is the director of company and production and on the Producing Staff. In her spare time, Haley enjoys backpacking with her partner Adam and dog, Dahlia, a good cup of coffee and tending to her plants.
A warm welcome to Scott Devenny!
Scott Devenny came to Seattle to start the MFA Arts Leadership program at Seattle University. Now, in his second year of the MFA and scheduled to graduate this June, Scott has joined the School of Drama as the Administrative Assistant. He will be able to assist with room reservations, locker checkouts, and support faculty and staff with various admin duties.
Scott grew up in Ocean City, Maryland and attests that growing up on the beach is as great as one imagines. He went to college at Marymount Manhattan College where he earned a BA in Theatre Arts. After college, Scott worked as a stage manager for Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, American Theatre Actors, and Hip to Hip Theatre Company, amongst other theatre's in New York. Now in Seattle, Scott does not have much time for fun outside of work and school, but has enjoyed exploring Seattle, especially when his identical twin brother, Patrick, came to visit.
