This past weekend, members of our Professional Actor Training Program, led by Moises Castro (PATP 2016) self-produced the musical Pippin. The goal of the project was to work towards "creating our own independent theatre space." Creative entrepreneurship is one of the core values of our undergraduate and graduate programs. It's something the Undergraduate Theater Society demonstrates every day. We're excited to see our PATP students put it into practice. You can read more about the project here.

MFA director Sean Ryan tackles Joe Orton’s masterpiece of dark farce.  Set in London in 1965, the story revolves around the members of the McLeavy family and the events surrounding the death and subsequent burial of the family matriarch. Members of Jet City Improv work with School of Drama undergraduates to create an ever-changing show that revolves around the idea of how things begin and the intersection between multiple storylines, movement, and their relationship to time. On Monday, November 9, the artists, friends, and patrons of Seattle's Group Theatre gathered to celebrate the rich legacy the Group left on the Seattle, and greater national, theatre community.
