UTS Presents: The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?
By Edward Albee
Directed by Brian Dang and Ran Ran Wang
Martin is 50 years old and at the height of his career. His wife and son both love him and everything seems like its on the upswing. But when his long-standing affair with a certain Sylvia, who happens to be a goat, is brought to light, his romance threatens the ideals he and his family have built themselves on. It digs a pit so deep, so wide, they'll all fall in and never climb out again. Albee's play explores the limits of liberal tolerance, betrayal, love, loss, the consequences of deviance, and things that can never be fixed again.
