Elizabeth Wu (BA '15) profiled in A&S Perspectives

Submitted by Katrina M Ernst on June 8, 2015 - 11:40am

Graduating senior Elizabeth Wu receives a profile in this month's issue of Perspectives, published by the College of Arts & Sciences. Five graduating seniors from across the College received features in the June issue. On May 30, Elizabeth organized an Asian American theatre conference with site-specific plays in Seattle's International District—Stories from Chinatown: a living theatre project.

“I see what stories can do to change a community, to change people’s opinions and ideas,” she says. “I want to continue to tap into the Western foundations of drama in relation to the Asian American experience and create plays that redefine how we see Asian Americans. Many of those stories haven’t been told yet.”

Read Elizabeth's profile—"Telling Stories, Opening Minds"—to learn more about her undergraduate work and her plans for the future.
