Dear School of Drama Community,
I am thrilled to share the exciting news of both my appointment to a new position and recent degree conferral. After years of hard work, hours in the library, and countless late nights of studying, I am proud to announce that I have successfully earned my M.F.A. in Arts Leadership along with a Certificate in Fundraising Leadership from Seattle University. I feel fortunate to have received such a niche education in a field that I love so dearly. This degree also represents a personal milestone, as I am the first member of my family to hold an advanced degree.
However, the celebration does not end there! I am equally delighted to share that I will be embarking on a new professional journey as the Interim Constituent Relations Officer (CRO) for the School of Drama beginning in August. I have been working closely with Hillary Long, current CRO, to ensure smooth operations occur during her absence. This exciting new opportunity aligns perfectly with my current career goals and will allow me the opportunity to apply the knowledge and insights gained throughout my academic career to our school.
I am immensely grateful for the kind words of encouragement and unwavering support the School of Drama community has offered throughout this transformative period in my life. As I step into this new chapter, I am filled with enthusiasm, optimism, and a deep sense of gratitude. I look forward to what the future holds.
Sincerely,
Scott Devenny, MFA
