Biography
Danny Jones has lived and acted in Alaska, Florida, New York, San Francisco (Bay Area), Wisconsin, and now Washington. His teaching draws from foundational Stanislavski, Micheal Chekhov's creative individuality/transformation, Nikolai Demidov's limitless well of imagination/impulse work, Viewpoints, and Kristin Linklater's vocal principals. These are all techniques he has learned and honed over his many years as a working artist and his few years in higher education.
Danny is currently putting together his forthcoming research, "Non-Violent Theatre". Using Non-Violent Communication (M. Rosenberg) as a framework to support a "needs" based character analysis and mitigating conflict in collaborative processes. The early development of this theory came out of character work he did while working at Forward Theatre in Madison, WI.
Danny currently books on camera commercial, voice over, and union theatre work. He is new to the local market but looks forward to finding his place in the Seattle theatre community.
Danny would love to talk to you about your current classwork or acting projects so please drop him a line! Also he is always down to watch your work no matter what point in the process you're in.
