Syllabus Description:

This course is designed for the person who is curious, has a passion or wants to learn more about teaching, education, theater and the arts, and/or seeking to strengthen public speaking and business relationship skills. Build confidence through artistic collaboration and improve observation, communication and listening skills. For future teachers, you will learn how to use drama in your classroom as a tool to teach basic subjects and to enhance learning. We will explore and discover a variety of ways to use drama- from storytelling, performing text using the Book-It Style® improvisation, music and movement.  We will explore performance techniques in class, attend plays and look at events in and around Seattle.
