In case you can't read that sign in the photo above, our students are celebrating the last day of class! Friday, June 6 was the annual School of Drama BBQ, where we honor the achievements of our students and award scholarships to deserving undergraduates and graduate students. It was a beautiful day and a perfect start to summer. It may have been the last day of class, but many of our students will be working in the theatre this summer. Keep reading to learn about their exciting projects. And please join us in congratulating our School of Drama Class of 2014!
On Tuesday, June 3, friends, family, colleagues, alumni and community members gathered at the Floyd and Delores Jones Playhouse to honor and share memories of Sarah Nash Gates - our fearless leader for the past 20 years. We celebrated Sarah's career and the tremendous impact she has had on our school, our students, and our community.
We know the community Sarah has touched extends far beyond Seattle, as alumni have settled and built careers across the country. If you weren't able to join us, you can check out photos from the event on our Facebook page. If you wish to make a gift to honor Sarah, please consider a donation to the newly established Sarah Nash Gates Endowed Graduate Student Support Fund.
Join us in sending our most heartful thanks and congratulations to Sarah.
