The Daily calls The Cradle Will Rock, directed by Valerie Curtis-Newton, "an entertaining piece of theatre" that is "poignant, speaking to social issues that affect us all."

The cast, consisting of graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, faculty, and actors from the community, is called "impeccable. The actors keep up with the show’s unrelenting pace, swiftly delivering sharply-written dialogue and lyrics with zeal and humor."
