We highlight the remarkable achievements of Scott Magelssen, a distinguished Professor from the UW Drama Faculty. Scott recently served as the co-respondent for the Theatre History Symposium alongside Laura Edmondson from Dartmouth. Their collaborative efforts brought insightful perspectives to the symposium, enriching the field of theatre history.

We are also thrilled to share the exciting endeavors of several UW Drama Ph.D. program students, faculty, and alums at the Mid-America Theatre Conference held in Minneapolis. Under the theme of "Impossible Theatre," these talented individuals showcased their remarkable work. Current Ph.D. students, including Cate Heiner, Mackenzie Bounds, Sebastian Trainor, and Rachael Herren, presented thought-provoking papers on diverse topics ranging from ancient Greek tragedies to modern horror.

Additionally, we proudly acknowledge the accomplishments of recent UW alums at MATC, including Weiyu Li, Shadow Zimmerman, Hannah Probst, Elizabeth Coen, and Shelby Lunderman. They shared their insightful papers and contributed their expertise to the conference, while Jeanmarie Higgins served as a co-conference planner, ensuring its success.

Join us as we celebrate the "Joy" Moments in drama and acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Scott Magelssen and the esteemed members of the UW Drama community!
