The last week of autumn classes is upon us. As we head into the holiday season, we're all making lists - of the theatre we plan to go see, the movies we plan to watch, and the books we plan to dive into. Check out the Holiday 2013 Drama Picks and have yourself a drama-filled (hopefully not of the family kind) December!
Woyzeck
By Georg Büchner
Directed by Elizabeth Schiffler
Remaining shows: Thurs-Sun, Dec 5-8 at 7:30 pm
Cabaret Theatre
Produced by the Undergraduate Theater Society, Georg Büchner's Woyzeck is the story of Franz Woyzeck, a poor soldier who struggles through life to support his mistress and child. Subject to the unjust treatment of his superiors, Woyzeck crumbles under the inability to express himself and control his life. Although Georg Büchner’s Woyzeck was left unfinished due to the author’s young death, his play is a timeless reminder of our responsibility as humans, and what we owe others and ourselves.

You've seen them grace our stages for the past three seasons. Now Brianne, Amanda, Yesenia, Pankaj, Darius, Jonathan, Christian, and Kimberly are preparing for their Showcase Audition Tour (Seattle, LA,and NY), the capstone of their education at UW.
If you laughed at their antics in The Real Inspector Hound or hoped and dreamed for them in Landscape of the Body, then please take a moment to consider investing in their future.
Donations of all sizes help to cover the considerable expense of participating in the Showcase Audition tour. Your investment will help with food, housing, and transportation, and covers the cost of resumes, headshots, film reel production, promotional material, and rehearsal and performance space fees.
DONATE TODAY and help launch successful careers for our students. Be sure to select the "Invest in an Actor" fund when making your donation.

Oliver! returns to the 5th Avenue Theatre's stage for the first time in 20 years and our very own, esteemed Executive Director Sarah Nash Gates took on the herculean task of designing the costumes for the massive production. 5th Avenue Artistic Director David Armstrong called on Sarah to tackle the task and 250 costumes later, we all get to see it come alive. Check out City Arts Magazine's behind-the-scenes photo essay with the "master designer."
