Additional Details:

Singing for Actors prepares students to sing on stage and for auditions. In addition to developing singing skills, the class explores song structure and interpretation, and the application of acting theory to song performance practice. The course culminates in a cabaret-style performance, open to the public.

Class projects include: solo performance of a song from a Broadway musical, demonstration of audition skills, performance of an ensemble song, and as time allows, (scene) performance of a duet from a Broadway musical.

Rehearsal and classroom performance of dramatic literature of various periods and styles.
