Collect 5 examples of male faces and 5 examples of female faces for research. Prepare to talk about your examples.
Thursday, June 22 Apply corrective make - up. Must have materials.
Assignment - old age
Bring 5 pictures that are examples of old age for research .
Tuesday, June 27 Apply old age make - up.... Discussion and photos.
Thursday, June 29 Apply Chinese Opera Dan or Qing Yi(Ch'ing I) Character make - up
Assignment – animal or fantasy make – up work sheet. Must have examples of research.
Tuesday July 4 - NO CLASS
Thursday July 6 Apply animal or fantasy make - up
Assignment - horror make - up, Bring 5 examples of trauma for research.
Tuesday July 11 Apply Horror make – up
Video – “Special / Character Effects.”
Assignment – Beards, bring 5 examples of beards and crepe hair supplies .
Thursday July 13 Apply beards.
Assignment - HIstorical Make up. Bring at least one example of research and a worksheet.
Tuesday July 18 Apply Historical make up. Bring at least one example of research and a completed work sheet . Group Project or Paper due on line by midnight.

This is an entry level technical make up workshop based class. Most of the work is completed within the time limitations of the class. This course offers the student a practical guide to the theory and practice of different levels of stage make up.
Students are required to purchase specific supplies and tools to complete the course. A limited understanding of color, light, and shadow are encouraged. Enthusiasm is welcomed and appreciated. Read more about this class in an article from University Week. 2 credits.
