Syllabus Description:
Video projections are fast becoming common in theatrical stagecraft, both as scenic elements and dynamic content. This workshop class will provide students with basic techniques of building digital images and orchestrating them in combination and sequence as cues, using basic software such as Photoshop, Premiere, Apple Motion, and Q-lab.
Interested students should email nkwameb@uw.edu for entry code, answering these questions:
- Details of their own creative pursuits, specifically in a visual art, and for how long and seriously they’ve been practicing
- Memorable viewer experiences of theater, especially ones with projections
- Comfort and familiarity with computer design programs such as Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere or Final Cut Pro, etc.
