What is the experience of living in America today? It’s a question most of us are asking ourselves constantly these days, as we look out over an American landscape almost no one could have imagined. It’s also a foundational question in the work of celebrated devising theatre company the TEAM, of which director Libby King has been a member since 2006. For her first production as a new UW Drama faculty member, King will introduce a group of graduate actors and designers to the methods she has been using to make devised theatre for over 15 years, mining the students’ own experiences of living through the past several months for universal truths about safety and danger, loneliness and connection, fear and courage, letting go and holding on.

HOW WILL I WATCH THIS SHOW?
This performance will be presented online. Single ticket holders and All-Access Pass Members will be emailed the link to access the production. A captioned recording of the production will also be available to all single ticket holders and All-Access Pass Members for one week following the run.

HOW LONG IS THE SHOW? This is a devised work, which means it’s being created right now (even as we speak!) but we think it will be no longer than 85 minutes. There will be no intermission.

CONTENT NOTES: This production contains coarse language, flashing lights, and the depiction of an eating disorder.

WHERE CAN I VIEW THE PROGRAM? You can read the show program here.
