Catalog Description: 
Covers Western European theatre from Italian Renaissance to the late eighteenth century. Beginning with humanism, examines Renaissance beginnings in Italy and its influence, unique practices in England and France ,and then theatre of the English Restoration, the European Enlightenment, and revolutions in France and America. Prerequisite: DRAMA 201.
