Syllabus Description:

EVERYONE  IS  A  VISUAL  THINKER

Visual Thinking is about seeing and understanding how images are constructed to work with and against the way we see. From the prospective of theatrical design, this course is an initiation into, or expansion of, the power of visual thinking - applicable to any form of creative application. This course will benefit anyone with an interest in expanding creativity - engineers, scientists, designers, poets, writers, visual artists, and theater makers. Visual literacy is a foundational skill relevant to all students and to a wide range of future professional pathways.

From the perspective of theatrical design, develops visual literacy as a foundational skill relevant to all students and to a wide range of professional pathways from the sciences to the arts. Examines "seeing" and understanding how images are constructed to work with, and against, the way we see. Focuses on expanding creativity. Offered: Sp.
