Join us after the 2:00 PM matinee performance of Fefu and Her Friends for a panel discussion on the life and legacy of master playwright Maria Irene Fornes, who passed away October 30th at the age of 88. The panel will include local theatre artists who worked directly with, or were deeply influenced by, Fornes. Panelists include Rose Cano, Artistic Director of ese Teatro, Monica Cortes Viharo, UW PhD student, and Mary Ewald and John Kazanjian, co-founders of New City Theatre, which commissioned several Fornes works in the 80s and 90s. It will be moderated by UW Drama faculty member Stefka Mihaylova.

This event is free and open to all. To purchase tickets for the 2:00 PM matinee performance of Fefu and Her Friends, click here.

NOTE: We anticipate that the panel will begin at approximately 3:40 PM. We will update this page as the run time of the show becomes clearer.
